Family Ties

Recently, Elizabeth Story of Kensington Tours shared her experience. We thought we should share the highlights with you! "I feel like one of the lucky ones when I tell people where I get to work, and my good fortune rang particularly true when I took my daughter to South Africa with Kensington Tours. We both had an exhaustive wish list when it came to what we hoped to do: She wanted a safari, I hoped to sip my way through Cape Winelands, and even though our ask was large (and sometimes ever-changing), our Destination Experts customized it all without so much as a sigh. We saw things we couldn...

Yukon Experience to come back to!

Whitehorse is outstanding and I have been knocked off my feet with what a wonderful place this is. Today is my last day here and it is going to be epic. Dog Sledding followed by Ice Fishing followed by Snowmobiling and then tonight back out to view the Northern Lights. We went out last night but unfortunately it did not clear up so I am running on approx. 3 hours sleep since we did not get back to the hotel until 2.30am this morning. I have learnt how to blow glass at a fascinating glass studio. Been out to the wildlife preserve and learnt all about the animals and their lifestyle up north. S...

Reflection on successful group tour

What an outstanding Group and an Incredible Trip to Africa in May 2018! Upon arrival into Arusha, we were met by Abby from Boutique Safaris and transferred to the Mount Meru Hotel for our 2 night stay. After a lovely breakfast we were up and at it, first stop, the Tanzanite Museum. Here we learned about this absolutely amazing gemstone. Second stop, Masai Market. Lots of purchases were made here as we strolled the rows of the markets admiring the wonderful trinkets. It was then time for a well deserved lunch - here in Africa, no one is in a rush! Our afternoon was at the Cradle of Love Orphan...

Quick check in after a successful tour!

We are all sitting now at Zanzibar airport waiting for the start of our flights. Everyone is sad that it has come to an end now. What an outstanding trip it was! My dad and Robyn had the best trip of their entire lives and dad did everything even getting a henna tatoo. He gave speeches and we all kept asking where the quiet Jim Murphy went! I have some speeches. People sang songs to the drivers We all laughed and cried and were scared by the lions roaring near our tents. We got bogged in the mud and had to be rescued which everyone loved. We lunched with lions, one day had breakfast with hi...

Travelling on the Dreamliner

I just returned from a fabulous trip to Ireland. My flights to and from Vancouver were with Air Canada in Premium Economy. Premium Economy on the Dreamliner between Vancouver to Toronto was a wonderful experience. The seats are definitely bigger and the entertainment system is great. The in-flight service was wonderful. It is definitely worth it. I would highly recommend Premium Economy. Premium Rouge with Air Canada Rouge between Toronto and Dublin was great and the complimentary Ipads were nice. On my connection back through Toronto with my lay over, I was able to access the Maple Leaf Loun...

SOAR 2017 - Wrap Up

What an incredible event to be associated with – Girl Guides SOAR (Spirit of Adventure Rendezvous) which this year was held in beautiful Smithers, BC. The event takes place every 3 years in B.C. and over 2,000 girls from across the Province, as well as visiting Guides from around the world, make the journey to the chosen destination. My team and I at Personal Travel Management (“PTM”) were both thrilled and honoured to be selected to help arrange the flights and ground transportation for a large portion of the attendees. This was a first for B.C. SOAR, but was deemed necessary due to the remo...
